The Ministry of Economy is a government body responsible for the development and implementation of long-term strategy and integrated development programs, conducting a well-thought and balanced socio-economic policies aimed at addressing the following major tasks:

• ensuring macroeconomic stability, sustainable, balanced and dynamic economy;
• and formation of multi-functioning economy, providing leadership on private property, the development of market infrastructure;
• implementation of purposeful structural policies aimed at effective and efficient use of abundant natural and mineral resources, established manufacturing n scientific and technical potential, the development of export potential and ensuring the integration of the national economy into the world economy;
• creation of new jobs, solve rational employment of labor, strengthening targeted social protection of the population, sustainable and steady growth in living standards, development of social infrastructure;
• ensure proportional and integrated economic development of the country's regions, optimal and efficient development and distribution of productive forces on the territory of the republic.

  Ministry of Economy is implementing its tasks through the development and enforcement of short-term and medium-term forecasts of socio-economic development and coordination of the ministries and departments within the general economic complex of the Cabinet of Ministers.

  Procedure of the Ministry shall, in accordance with Instruction on office in the central apparatus of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, approved by Order of the Minister of Economy on May 14, 2010 № 22 "On improving the system to work with documents and control their organization run by the Ministry of economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan ».
